Chimar at SID Winter Camp 2025: A Journey into the Colors of the Future

An Event Dedicated to Color in Design

From January 20 to 24, 2025, Chimar, a leading company in the production of masterbatch and predispersed pigments for coloring plastic materials, participated in the SID Winter Camp 2025. The event, organized by the Italian Design School of Padua, featured designer Alessandro Busana as a tutor and was a unique opportunity to explore the role of color in design and anticipate color trends for 2025/2026.

Analyzing Global Color Trends

During this intensive week of work, 40 SID students analyzed global color trends, aiming to develop innovative color palettes for the 2025/2026 biennium. The project was based on qualitative market research, with particular focus on the strategic sectors identified by Chimar:

  • Interior design

  • Garden furniture

  • Household goods

A Creative and Strategic Process

Through a creative and decision-making process, students selected the best color palettes, working closely with Chimar to understand the needs of the color market for plastic materials.
