Ahead of innovation since 1984
1984 Mr. Aldo Rizzuti, the founding member, established Chimar based on his experience in the field that began in 1970. The company initially prepared and used to sell predispersed powders and microgranules to colour PVC.
1988 The first factory was completed and then extended in 1991. A second plant was added in 1997.
1992 Chimar developed its production systems to satisfy the requests of the polyolefin and technopolymer sectors with successful results.
1998 The company expanded its business to include other sectors such as blow-moulded containers, injection-moulded household items and garden furniture as well as, among others, bins and boxes used in agriculture.
1999 To meet growing market requirements, the first extruded masterbatch line was set up. More had been added soon after.
2008 The company's expansion on the market lead to new investments to increase its productivity. Chimar has moved to the new plant, which extends over about 7800 sq m, tripling the indoor area.
2014 Chimar believes that the most effective strategy to face these critical times in the best possible way is to invest in itself. In line with this philosophy, the company has increased its production lines and improved its sales force in view of a more extensive development of its presence on the Italian and foreign markets.
